Registration Schedule:

  • Monday, February 4 – Registration opens
    • Students will register for AP tests in their classrooms using Google Form (see below for more specific information).
  • Thursday, February 28 at 11:59 PM - Registration Ends
  • Monday, Feb 04 – Payment for AP Testing will be accepted through myschoolbucks.com
  • Friday, March 15 – AP Tests that have not been paid will be cancelled and exams will not be ordered.

Registration for AP Testing

Registration for all AP tests will take place in AP classrooms between the dates of Monday, February 4th and Thursday, February 28th, via Google Form. If a student does not plan to take a particular AP test, they will not need to register; they will only register for the tests they plan to take. Decisions about taking the AP tests in May will need to be made before February 28; a student will not be allowed to register for any AP tests after February 28. Mrs. Bruner and teachers will assist with registering students for the AP tests.

Cost:

$94.00 per exam for enrolled THS students  

$63.00 per exam for enrolled THS students that have been approved for free/reduced lunch. If you have any questions regarding your qualification, please contact Mrs. Waite or Mrs. Bruner in the Guidance Office.

Refund/cancellation policy:  

  • Cancellations made after March 15 with not be eligible for a refund. 
  • AP Tests that have not been paid by March 15 will be cancelled and exams will not be ordered.

Payment Instructions:

  1. Go to Tecumseh Public Schools website at www.tps.k12.mi.us
  2. Click on the “Parents” tab at the top of the page.
  3. On the right hand side, click on “MySchoolBucks”
  4. Log into your existing account, or sign up for a new account.
  5. Look for the AP Exam Logo

Testing Location

All AP Tests will be administered at Adrian College in room 207 of Peelle Hall.  All tests will begin promptly at 8am and 12pm.  Students will not be allowed late admittance into the testing room, once the test has begun.

Transportation

Bussing to the AP Testing Site at Adrian College, and back to THS will be provided through Tecumseh Public Schools.  Buses will leave promptly from the bus loop at THS at 7:30 am and 11:30 am.  A bus will be available at the entrance of Peelle Hall at Adrian College at 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm to bring students back to THS, after they have completed their test(s).  Students are free to transport themselves to and from Adrian College; TPS will simply provide bussing if needed.  When students register for their AP tests through the Google Forms, there will be a question on the registration that asks if they will need transportation to Adrian College on the day of their designated test.

Students eligible for accommodations

When completing the Google registration, you are asked if you are eligible for College Board accommodations. A student should only answer “yes” if he/she has been officially approved for accommodations. Just because a student receives any accommodations at school does not mean he will automatically receive accommodations for AP testing. To use accommodations on AP exams, students must request and receive approval for accommodations from College Board Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) before testing. The deadline for submitting accommodations requests is February 22, 2019. Parents should begin that process with the student’s teacher consultant and/or counselor early in the school year, so that there are no delays or problems and so that we can plan for additional testing space and proctors that may be needed.

Now…..what is the first step with all this information you’ve given to me?

  1. Between the dates of Feb 4th and February 28, register for the AP test(s) that you will be taking in May.  There will be a question on the registration asking if you need transportation to Adrian College, or if you will drive yourself (or a parent will be driving you).  Remember, Mrs. Bruner or your AP teacher will be helping you with this process.  If you have any questions, just seek out your teacher or Mrs. Bruner for assistance.
  2. Once you have registered for your AP test(s) through the Google Form, go to “MySchoolBucks” and pay the fee for the AP tests.  Remember, you will need to pay by March 15th, or your order will be cancelled.
  3. Show up for your selected tests on the days and times indicated on the top of this document.  Remember….all AP Tests will be administered at Adrian College.
