Two Tecumseh Public Schools buildings will see administrative staff changes for the 2018-19 school year. Personnel shifts will change leadership at Tecumseh Compass Learning Center and Tecumseh North Early Learning Center.
Carl Lewandowski will serve as the Early Elementary Principal for Tecumseh Compass Learning Center, supervising grades 2 and 3. He replaces Angel Mensing, who has chosen to return to the classroom to teach art at Tecumseh West STEAM Center.
“We strive to have the best staff members possible in the best positions possible,” said Kelly M. Coffin, Ed.D., superintendent. “When people are in a position they love, they excel – which is exactly what we want for our schools. We are proud to support our staff as they learn and grow into new roles and serve our learners as they are best suited."
Lewandowski will join Upper Elementary Principal, Trisha Howard in leadership of Compass.
“I’m so excited to have Carl joining our team. He brings a wealth of experience and has a strong ability to build relationships with learners, staff and families,” Howard said. “We will be working together throughout the summer to ensure everything is place for next year. I’m looking forward to the future of Compass.”
The district has opened its search for a North Early Learning Center principal. An announcement will be made when the district makes its selection.
