Lenawee County Agriculture Day was on October 11, 2018. Certain kids were picked from different classes to enjoy this field trip. The field trip was focused on agriculture and possible careers.
First, we took a bus over to the LISD Center For Sustainable Future, where we learned about food chemistry and how it could be a career, as well as a few other careers such as: farm loan officers, being a lawyer, greenhouse development, conservation of the land and being a conservation officer.
Then, we headed for the Hudson Dairy Farm. There, we got to have lunch and have a tour of the place. We got to see their 200+ cows, find out how milk is made, and visit a lot of booths. I learned that an average dairy cow produces 7 to 9 gallons of milk a day! Overall, AG day was awesome!
