Tecumseh North Early Learning Center learners are collecting new socks in all sizes, colors and varieties to help keep area residents warm this winter. Donations may be delivered to the main office. The SOCKTOBER project runs through October 31. The socks will be distributed to local shelters and agencies.
Socktober is the October service project for the learners who participate in a variety of Kindness Projects throughout the year as a way to give back to the community and teach empathy, kindness and generosity. Previous projects include creating birthday bags for local charities, designing bookmarks for patients at Mott Children's Hospital, making police officer appreciation gifts, making and delivering cards to residents of local nursing homes and holding a fundraiser lemonade stand for a learner who is battling cancer.
Thank you for spreading kindness with your donation to Socktober!
