Parents/guardians are encouraged to attend Back to School Night at Tecumseh South Early Learning Center from 6 - 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24. Important information regarding curriculum and grade reporting will be presented.
Topics to be discussed include:
- the reading, math, music, art and physical education curriculum
- how to use the Buzz Learner Management system to access student progress reports
- an introduction to the school’s new Essential Skills Checklist which will replace the traditional report card
“It’s really important that we have as many parents attend as possible,” said Meghan Way, principal. “We want parents to be informed about what their child will be learning, how their progress will be assessed, and where parents can find this information. It’s also a great opportunity to have any questions answered.”
Attendees will also have the opportunity to enter a drawing for the chance to win a Kindle.
If families would otherwise be unable to attend due to childcare concerns, child supervision will be provided in the gymnasium. Please note that care can only be provided for school-aged children, not infants or toddlers. If parents/guardians are unable to attend, please contact the South Early Learning Center Office at 517-423-2367.
