Tecumseh Boys Swim Hosts the Kiwanis Invitational

The Tecumseh High School Boys Swim Team in conjunction with the Tecumseh Kiwanis hosted the Tecumseh Kiwanis Invitational on Saturday, January 12.

There were 3 teams in attendance: Bedford, Chelsea, and Tecumseh. The Kiwanis Invitational is set-up in freshman/sophomore and junior/senior events and there are no overall scores. The boys are awarded medals from the Tecumseh Kiwanis members based on their place in each event. 

The Tecumseh Boys took 3 first place finishes, had 14 season best times with 8 of them being High School career best times, and made 4 MISCA cuts and 1 state cut. MISCA cuts included the 200 Medley Relay of Wanzeck, K. Mitchell, Lore, and Roberts with a time of 1:48.01; the 200 Fresstyle Relay of Lore, A. Mitchell, Roberts, and K. Mitchell with a time of 1:35.62; Giovanni Lore in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 23.18; and Kyle Mitchell in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:03.18. Kyle Mitchell's 100 Breaststroke was also a state cut.

The Tecumseh Boys will swim at home on Thursday, January 17 against Jackson.
