Tecumseh Volleyball Places Second at the Lumen Christis Invitational

The Tecumseh Indians went 4-2-1 at the Lumen Christi Invitational on Saturday, September 8. 

During the first round of pool play Tecumseh beat Michigan Center (25-15, 25-16) and then lost to Three Rivers (23-25, 18-25). During the second round of pool play the Indians split vs. Napoleon (25-22, 23-25) and won vs. Adrian (27-25, 25-12).

The quarterfinals was a rematch with Michigan Center, beating them again (25-11, 25-21). Tecumseh then beat Springport in the semifinals (25-15, 25-18). Tecumseh's run ended in the finals as they lost a close game to Three Rivers (25-23, 21-25, 7-15).

Stat leader for this weekend was Lauren Anschuetz with 41 kills, 117 digs and 16 aces. Katelyn Moorehead had 128 digs and 5 aces. Lyndsey Benschoter had 55 assists, 35 digs, and 11 aces. Morgan Dillon added 25 kills and 4 blocks.

The Tecumseh Girls Volleyball Team now sits at 17-8-3 for the season.
