Tecumseh Public Schools has partnered with the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) to serve as a Meet Up and Eat Up location to help ensure that children have access to nutritious meals over summer break.
Beginning June 18 through the month of August, the Tecumseh Compass Learning Center, 307 N. Maumee St., Tecumseh will serve breakfast from 8 – 9:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. The meals are available free of charge.
The menu items will be similar to those served during the school year, and include milk, fruit, vegetables and grains.
Unlike the free and reduced meal program during the school year, the Meet Up and Eat Up program does not require an application or proof of income. Any child under the age of 18 or anyone with a disability who receives services from a public or private school system may participate.
