Project Lead the WayLearners sharing ideas

Welcome to Tecumseh East STEAM Center!

Our STEAM Centers are strongly focused on personalized and project-based learning with an emphasis on science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM).

In addition to core subject study in English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies, learners are provided opportunities to work at their own pace on engaging projects that address real-world problems. Under the guidance of their mentors and learning facilitators, learners are encouraged to explore a variety of subject areas. Through these independent learning projects, learners are motivated to explore their passions while developing time management, collaboration, communication, and other 21st century skills necessary to become critical thinkers and problem solvers.

Tecumseh East STEAM Center is home to learners in Grade 7 for the 2018-19 school year. These learners will remain in this learning center for two years, looping with the same group of learning facilitators. Learners at this level become a part of our 1:1 Technology Program where each learner receives a Chromebook for their educational use.

We hope you will take the opportunity to visit our STEAM Centers and stop in for our Learning Expos. We'd love to share our work with you!

We also wanted to share with you the process that Tecumseh Public Schools follow when making any decision on school delays and closures.
