The Tecumseh North and South Early Learning Centers focus on building strong foundational skills by providing opportunities for learners to engage in learning at their developmental level.
Learners are encouraged to explore new ideas to find success and joy in learning. They are provided opportunities for creative thinking, collaboration, problem solving, and reflection. We strive to create the Ideal Learning Experience, where learners' individual goals, interests, and learning styles guide their learning. One way this is done is through the use of Project-Based Learning (PBL).
Project-Based Learning is a research-based instructional practice that allows learners to gain knowledge and skills by investigating and responding to an authentic, engaging and complex question, problem, or challenge. By integrating content across all school subject areas, and with respect to each learner's interests and learning styles, facilitators provide meaningful learning opportunities for each and every learner.
