Tecumseh Public Schools' Early Learning Centers serve learners in Pre-K through first grade. Our early childhood focus nurtures the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of each and every child.

At this level, learners build foundational educational skills and opportunities are provided for creative thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and reflection. Our goal is to cultivate our learners' natural curiosity through a customized learning approach enriched with play, cooperation, imagination, and inquiry.

Tecumseh Public Schools was recently awarded a safety grant for next school year. School Resource Officer Chad Rodgers spearheaded the grant application along with Interim Grants Officer Meghan Way.

Swimmers and lifeguard at the pool

The Tecumseh Community Pool, located in Compass Learning Center will close for three weeks for the installation of new water filtering and air quality systems. The closure will last from March 18 – April 7, 2019. The pool is scheduled to re-open for services on April 8, 2019.

TPS Winter Weather Guidelines

It appears that the winter season in Michigan is in full force. With this in mind, please remember that, as a parent, you ALWAYS will be the decision maker on sending your child to school on inclement weather days. We also wanted to share with you the process that Tecumseh Public Schools follow when making any decision on school delays and closures.

Tecumseh Police Department and TPS Name School Resource Officer

The Tecumseh Police Department and Tecumseh Public Schools are pleased to announce Officer Chad Rodgers will serve as the district’s new School Resource Officer.

The primary function of an SRO is to take a proactive role in promoting a safe learning environment through the development of strategies for conflict resolution through education, mentorship and law enforcement.
