The Tecumseh Virtual Academy (TVA) gives learners the flexibility to learn anywhere, anytime and at their ability level. This online learning format provides learners with the opportunity to select from a variety of courses for advanced credit, credit recovery, and summer school.

TPS has taken next steps in developing a focus on the “whole learner” which includes developing socially and emotionally strong facilitators, learners and educational environments. Understanding how our experiences, including stressful situations, trauma and mental illness impact brain development and behavior provides better direction for educators as they work to grow all learners personally, socially and academically.
Tecumseh Public Schools was represented by learners from Tecumseh High School, West STEAM and East STEAM at the Wayne State University Honor Bands Day on Saturday, Oct. 6.
Fifteen THS seniors traveled to Rossford, Ohio to learn more about the careers available in the professional and skilled trades. They heard from representatives of three apprenticeship unions: Electricians Local 8, Boilermakers Local 85 and Sheet Metal Workers Local 33.

In a continued effort to support learners struggling with depression and mental health concerns, Tecumseh High School is introducing the Sources of Strength Project. Sources of Strength encourages peer leaders to connect distressed or suicidal friends with supportive, caring adults so they can get the help they need.
The Tecumseh High School Girls Swim Team competed against Ann Arbor Huron and Adrian on Thursday October 4 at the Ann Arbor Huron High School Pool.
The Varsity Girls Cross Country team won the large team division at the Hudson Booster Invitational on Oct. 6.
Tecumseh Public Schools learners, parents and community members are invited to attend a free Cyber Safety Seminar at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7 in the Tecumseh High School Media Center.
The Indians topped the charts in their final competition this season on their home course, carding a 402 as a team, with SEC White individual champion Bethany Nowak battling through the chilly conditions at the start and the slower-than-usual greens to be the only golfer to shoot a sub-90 score, carding an 87 and taking medalist honors.
