Tecumseh Public Schools - Superintendent Search

Search Information

The Tecumseh Public Schools Board of Education has begun a search process for our next superintendent. We will use the district webpage to update our community stakeholders as we work through this process of selecting the district’s next leader.

Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) has been selected by the board to facilitate the search process. Donna Oser, CAE, Deputy Executive Director and Greg Sieszputowski, Director of Leadership Development and Executive Services with MASB, will be working directly with the board, staff, and community members as well as with potential candidates throughout the process. MASB has successfully helped school districts with 700+ superintendent searches in Michigan over the last 35 years.

While the Board of Education is responsible for hiring the new superintendent, board members recognize the importance of this decision for not only the school district, but for the entire community. The board wishes to gather information from staff, community members, and the public to help with the development of a “candidate profile” and ultimately the final job posting for the position. You are invited to submit your input, via a survey on our website by clicking the survey link Your input is encouraged and appreciated. All survey input is completely anonymous. The survey will close on August 9, 2019.

Additionally, staff and community input will be gathered by MASB on July 25, 2019 starting at 9:00 am and running throughout the day. MASB staff will be meeting with various stakeholder groups. The stakeholder input meetings will be held at the Tecumseh Public Schools Board of Education – Annex, located at 212 N. Ottawa Street, Tecumseh. A timeline of the process is also posted. As additional information becomes available it will be shared with the community via our website.
