Tecumseh Public Schools is committed to being prepared for medical emergencies. On Friday, Tecumseh High School held our first cardiac emergency drill of the school year, as part of an emergency preparedness initiative led by our District Nurse.

Working alongside our local EMS and Fire departments, staff participated in a realistic emergency simulation—from recognizing and responding to the emergency, calling 911, and working through the response process with our first responders from start to finish.

These drills provide an opportunity to practice, identify potential challenges, and troubleshoot issues before a real emergency occurs. Our THS Medical Emergency Response Team did a fantastic job! 👏

Additional drills will be conducted at each of our school buildings in the coming months as we continue to strengthen our emergency preparedness and help ensure the safety of our students and staff.

Art students this week have been working on artist maquettes. This project is part of Christine Obeid’s Art and Design class at Tecumseh High School. A maquette is a model for a larger piece of sculpture, created to visualize how it might look and to work out approaches and materials for how it might be made. Students have been creating miniatures in honor of famous artists, including Vincent van Gogh, Marc Chagall, Rembrandt, and Leonardo da Vinci. They’re working together to create these pieces and are showing their creativity in their work.
