Following new restrictions being announced by Governor Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, we have some updates.
High school students will stay in the remote learning model until the new restrictions are lifted on December 8th. On December 9th, high school students will then return to the hybrid model. We will reevaluate those plans as we get closer to the in-person return date.
Per our announcement last week, remote learning plans are staying the same for students at West STEAM Center, Compass Learning Center and North and South Early Learning Centers. Students at these schools will begin remote learning Tuesday, November 17th. As of right now, these students will return to full in-person learning on November 30th.
As for sports, the new emergency order calls for the suspension of Fall tournaments and the Winter sports season. Sports will resume December 9th.
Tecumseh Virtual Academy is not impacted by these changes.
