Don't worry! Your student isn't missing the bus.
Our dedicated bus drivers are currently running practice routes to prepare for the upcoming school year. They'll continue this leading up to the first day of school.
You can find the pick-up/drop-off details, timings, and bus name in your Infinite Campus profile for those using bus transportation.
If you have any bus transportation queries, feel free to reach out via email at connect@tps.k12.mi.us.

Don't forget, we have open houses for you and your families to attend coming up.
You can meet our awesome staff, tour the buildings, and visit the classrooms.
Tecumseh High School's open house dates have been set. Check out the Welcome Back letter from THS for more information.
It's important to note for high school students; schedules will not be available on Infinite Campus until August 18th. However, you can pick them up in person during your scheduled open house at THS.

Today, we officially say goodbye to the old Tecumseh Public Schools administration building.
The District finalized the sale of the building and property with LRC Commercial. We canât wait to see what the redevelopment of this property looks like and the impact it will have on the community.
The Ottawa Street property has served many different purposes for TPS. Built in 1918, the building was a high school, a junior high for seventh and eighth grades, and, eventually, the board/administration office.
While closed now for several years, we will cherish the building after decades of inspiring young minds and creating countless memories.
To every student, teacher, parent, guardian, and staff member who ever set foot in that building, thank you for being an integral part of our Districtâs story.

Happy Fourth of July!

Out of an abundance of caution, todayâs youth football camp at Tecumseh High School has been postponed due to the weather.
Todayâs date will be moved to tomorrow, Tuesday, June 27th. Wednesday and Thursdayâs dates this week remain the same.
The times for these camp dates also remain the same, which is 11 am-Noon.

Before the end of the school year, students at Patterson Intermediate Learning Center held one final assembly.
This was the PBIS Year-End Celebration. PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. PBIS is an approach schools use to promote school safety and behavior.
Students and staff celebrated after putting in a great school year filled with hard work and determination. During this assembly, there was a dance party!
Weâre excited for the students as some move to fourth grade, and others are headed to Tecumseh Middle School.

That's a wrap on the 2022-2023 school year!
Today was the *official* last day of school for Herrick Park Intermediate Learning Center, and summer has now begun. Thank you to all the staff and students for making this a great year.
Mark your calendars now. We'll see you on Wednesday, August 23rd.
Have a great summer!

During tonight's Good News portion of the Board of Education meeting, the Board and Superintendent Rick Hilderley honored those in attendance.
Tecumseh High School Math teacher Will Ramsell was recognized by the Board after being named Amazing Teacher of the Month. With this honor, he was awarded $5,000 from this nationwide contest. Mr. Ramsell is also in the running for another nationwide award. To learn more about that, click the link: https://www.tps.k12.mi.us/article/1110685
Tecumseh Middle School eighth-grader Laura Nadeau was recognized after being named the National Junior Honor Society Outstanding Achievement Award recipient! Laura is one of 500 students nationwide to be selected for this award, which comes with a $500 scholarship.
And lastly, some of our student-athletes were recognized for their achievement this spring sports season. In attendance were golf, track, and lacrosse student-athletes.
Congratulations to everyone who was recognized tonight!

It's the last day of school (ish)!
We're proud of what everyone accomplished this school year. Now, it's time to kick back, relax, and enjoy a well-deserved summer break!
Unfortunately, our Herrick Park Intermediate Learning Center students and staff are in session until June 13. We'll celebrate the official end of the school year with them next week!

It feels like something straight out of a science fiction film.
Youâve probably seen it before, but our students at Tecumseh Middle School had the opportunity to meet Spot, a four-legged robot from Boston Dynamics, in person. Spot is an agile, mobile robot that navigates the terrain with unprecedented mobility.
Boston Dynamics is a robotics company known for creating advanced and highly capable robots.
Skipp Findley, a Layout Engineer with Micron Technology, brought Spot along for his visit to TMS. Skipp is no stranger to the District. Heâs a 1991 graduate of Tecumseh High School.
The âProject Lead The Wayâ folks at TMS were able to connect with Skipp and quickly set up a visit before the end of the school year. Students were very impressed with seeing the bot firsthand, watching it work, and seeing it in person, something they have seen on videos throughout the year.

Check out this project at Tecumseh Acres Early Learning Center.
Students made seed pods to learn how seeds move by animals and wind. The students would test them in the classroom and then go outside to retest in the wind.
They were even able to touch and see different seeds while outside.
