Homecoming is next Friday, which means next week is Spirit Week! Students are encouraged to celebrate their school pride by participating in this tradition. Each day will see a different theme for students.
October 5th is World Teachers' Day.
Today, we celebrate our teachers and everything they do for our students here at TPS.
Considering that teachers mold future generations, taking one day every year to say "thank you" is the least we can do. No matter where you are, remember that teachers matter!
The global event was launched by the United National Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization back in 1994.
DON'T FORGET
Friday, September 3rd - No School (Labor Day Weekend)
Monday, September 6th - No School (Labor Day)
Tuesday, September 7th - School Resumes
Thank you to all of our speakers from TPS and thank you to all of those who supported our Food Drive during today’s live broadcast with WLEN 103.9fm.
Don’t forget, you can drop off your donations at any TPS building. Parents, you can send the food with your student or you’re more than welcome to drop it off yourself.
Your fresh fruit and snacks will go a long way in helping a child in need.
Thank you to Community Learning Connections of the Tecumseh Area and all of our supporters in the community.

The Sensory and Exploration Garden project at South Early Learning Center is coming along nicely. The Tecumseh South PTO has received a ton of donations, including tires, pallets, mulch and more to help put this project together. On Monday (5/10), Tecumseh Arbor #760 - Gleaner Life Insurance Society donated $500 to go towards the sensory garden project. The group is also donating a Red Twig Dogwood tree and a butterfly bush in honor of Darlene Penterics. Darlene passed away in April at the age of 61. She was a kindergarten teacher here at TPS before retiring.

March was National Reading Month and students at South Early Learning Center had some special guest readers over the month.
A Sensory and Exploration Garden project is underway over at South Early Learning Center.
A sensory garden is a garden that has a collection of plants that are appealing to one or more of the five senses; sight, smell, sound, taste, and touch. Sensory gardens should be accessible for all people to enjoy - disabled and non-disabled.
So far, we've received several donations, including a $500 donation from the Tecumseh Arbor Cleaners Group.
Over the weekend, the Tecumseh South PTO raised $258 for the sensory garden. The Easter Bunny showed up for some pictures during bowling, and made an appearance over at South ELC.
On Tuesday, May 4, we're asking for your support.
