Instead of receiving gifts, a Tecumseh student is going to be the one delivering presents this year and it’s all for a good cause.
Brandon Bemis, a 6th grader at Tecumseh Compass Learning Center, has started a donation drive and he’s hoping you’ll donate for his birthday.
Every year, Brandon picks a charity, either a hospital or animal shelter, and asks for people to donate for his birthday. This year, Brandon has chosen Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Brandon knows every little bit helps.
"The reason why I chose Mott is because the kids there are going through rough times and I want to be able to give them as many donations as possible,” said Brandon. “My hope is that these donations will help keep their mind off of why they are in the hospital, even if it is just for a short period of time."
With your help, Brandon believes he can make that happen.
The donation drive is going on right now and runs through March 19th. There’s a donation box located at the front office at Compass Learning Center (307 Maumee Street).
