Tecumseh Public Schools will be operating on a 2-hour delay for Wednesday, January 4th, due to fog.
There’s been an overwhelming amount of support for Tecumseh Middle School student Vann Burpee and his family. If you remember, Vann was diagnosed with a malignant non-operable brain tumor. He’s already gone through several surgeries and is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments. If you would like to support Vann and his family, the ‘Victory for Vann’ t-shirt fundraiser is still going. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Burpee family in support of Vann’s treatment. Thank you! 'Victory for Vann' ➡️➡️ https://bit.ly/3vxazQk
We'll see you tomorrow morning! #tecumsehpublicschools #welcomeback
Merry Christmas! 🎅🎄🎁
We are now officially on Winter Break! Enjoy the time off, and we wish you a Happy Holidays! Note: There will NOT be a Board of Education meeting on Monday, December 19.
Some fun for our students at Tecumseh High School during the annual 'Minute to Win It' holiday celebration. The Link Crew puts this event together. It's a chance for the juniors and seniors to check in with their 'Crew' in a fun environment. The Link Crew is a pretty cool student leadership group. The upperclassmen welcome freshmen and make them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their high school experience. Link Crew provides the structure for first-year students to receive support and guidance from juniors and seniors who have been through the challenges of high school and understand that the transition to a larger school can sometimes be overwhelming.
Definitely some ugly Christmas sweaters at Tecumseh Middle School. #tecumsehpublicschools #uglychristmassweaters #happyholidays
Our School Resource Officer is making his rounds at Tecumseh Middle School. Sgt. Chad Rodgers stopped by the past few days and snagged some pics with our students, including catching some Christmas music in the office.

Recently, members of the Tecumseh High School Symphony Band participated in the Lenawee County Band Directors Association (LCBDA) High School Honors Band event at Adrian High School. The performers were selected by their band director for this special two-day event. The band was under the direction of Dr. Mary Land of Western Michigan University. Students from 12 Lenawee County schools performed selected works during the two days.
Don't forget, there's a half-day scheduled for Y5-4th grade students ONLY on Friday, November 18. This affects students from Sutton Early Learning Center, Tecumseh Acres Early Learning Center, Herrick Park Intermediate Learning Center, and Patterson Intermediate Learning Center.
This morning, students at Tecumseh High School were recognized for their academic achievements. They were honored during the Breakfast of Champions breakfast. Congratulations to the sophomores, juniors, and seniors who were recognized.
Our younger students are getting the opportunity to work alongside students from Tecumseh High School. Elementary students from Herrick Park and Patterson ILCs joined the THS Art Club for a cross-age art class. They worked together to create animal sculptures. The rabbit sculptures are made of red clay and resemble Baby Jack, the bronze sculpture installed in the THS Sculpture Garden. This Saturday, the students will glaze the sculptures. Thank you to the Lenawee Community Foundation for supplying the materials through a grant.
It's still two days away, so we wouldn't blame you if you weren't thinking about what you'll be eating on Thursday. However, we have an idea for you. Head over to Sal's Italian Restaurant Thursday and help us raise some money for Community Learning Connections of the Tecumseh Area! A portion of the proceeds will go to CLC and its programming within Tecumseh Public Schools. The organization works with local students to address their needs in support of their academic achievement. Thank you for your support! 📅: Thursday, November 17 🍝: Sal's Italian Restaurant 📍: 1400 W Chicago Blvd., Tecumseh ⌚: 11am-9pm

This morning, Cadets from Tecumseh High School took part in the annual Veterans Day ceremony at Brookside Cemetery. TPS is proud to have our Cadets represent the District in this annual ceremony.
Today is Veterans Day, and we honor our military veterans for their hard work, sacrifice, and absolute dedication to our country. This day is for all who served in the US Armed Forces. Originally called Armistice Day, November 11 marks the end of World War 1, which occurred on November 11, 1918. In 1954, the holiday was renamed Veterans Day to pay tribute to the veterans of all wars. It is celebrated every November 11 and has been a Federal holiday since 1926. Here at Tecumseh Public Schools, our veterans make a difference daily in our District. Thank you for your courage, selflessness, sacrifice, and bravery in protecting our freedom. We will never forget your service. Greg Dolson, Sgt. Chad Rodgers, Tim Mark, Magnum Stead, Paul Wellman, Dan Koerber, Nick Benschoter , Tom Hawkins, Dan Frank In October, we lost Jim Pearsall. Jim bravely served our country in the US Air Force. He was a custodian for the District, and he would always light up when talking about his grandchildren. We miss you, Jim. Home of the free because of the brave. We honor and thank all the men and women who have served our nation.
