Meet Simon Suboski, Choir Teacher at Tecumseh Middle and High School!
For Simon, the best part of working at TPS is the people.
“My colleagues and my students,” he shares. “My music colleagues have gotten me through sickness and insanity with their constant support. The students have helped develop such a supportive and caring culture in the choir room that it feels like home.”
Simon wants others to know just how much heart and effort goes into building a thriving choir program. Beyond the classroom, he works hard to create a sense of belonging by organizing a concert or social event every month. “It’s not just another class they go to,” he says. “It takes a lot of thought and a lot of planning to build that community feeling.”
When he’s not inspiring students through music, Simon enjoys playing disc golf and board games, recording audiobooks, and singing at special events like Renaissance fairs and Christmas parties. In the summer, he and his wife love writing together and creating companion stories.
