Today, our students at Tecumseh Middle School had an amazing time participating in the ‘Super U! Challenge’ assembly.
This exceptional event featured two separate assemblies to accommodate different grade levels.
Utilizing an innovative approach resembling a whimsical children’s TV game show, the assembly effectively conveyed the message that students’ words and deeds hold the power to influence those around them. This, in turn, encourages our students to actively contribute to developing a welcoming and secure school environment.
The dynamic assembly was filled with enthusiastic student volunteers who played games in entertaining challenges, complete with costumes and playful props.
Power has been restored to Herrick Park Intermediate Learning Center!

Recently, Lucas Stiver was recognized by the Board of Education for winning the State of Michigan Trig-Star Competition for the 2022-23 school year! Lucas, who graduated last summer, also won the 2021-22 competition.
The National Society of Professional Surveyors organized the Trig-Star Competition, a nationwide test aiming to identify and encourage top math talents across U.S. school districts. Through this competition, scholarship awards are granted, fostering excellence in mathematics.
Last year, Lucas aced the contest in an astonishing 14 minutes and 15 seconds, achieving a flawless 100.
Lucas’s dominance extended beyond math competitions, shining as a key player on our Equations team for years.

Today, we officially say goodbye to the old Tecumseh Public Schools administration building.
The District finalized the sale of the building and property with LRC Commercial. We can’t wait to see what the redevelopment of this property looks like and the impact it will have on the community.
The Ottawa Street property has served many different purposes for TPS. Built in 1918, the building was a high school, a junior high for seventh and eighth grades, and, eventually, the board/administration office.
While closed now for several years, we will cherish the building after decades of inspiring young minds and creating countless memories.
To every student, teacher, parent, guardian, and staff member who ever set foot in that building, thank you for being an integral part of our District’s story.
